Artist's Note:
Believe it or not this was based on one of those atmospheric shots in late afternoon sun, a gathering of trees on a savanna plain against a deep grey sky. The execution was so loose and free that it came out looking more like clouds or perhaps rocks, but then art doesn't have to do the expected thing.
